As you may have already seen in a few of my blog posts, I love the combat jacket!

The combat jacket is such an extraordinaryly versatile item. You can make the simplest outfits

appear extremely fashionable and chic.

This morning, I woke up to a lovely Zara newsletter informing me of the updated Lookbook! 

Zara is one of my favorite stores because it's amazing clothes, shoes, and accessories that you don't have to pay designer prices for.
Zara is also my go-to place to most of my basics!

Classic Essentials - No. 7 Basic Trousers: Navy & Khaki

Navy and khaki trousers (also known as "chinos") are amazingly classy.

I think navy and khaki trousers are very to easy to style and can instantly

make a piece, even as simple as a plain tee, very elegant and classy.

Where to find:
Trousers can be found at Club Monaco, Zara, Forever 21, H&M, Mango, Madewell, and J.Crew.

Classic Essentials - No. 6 Basic Cardigans

I think that the most basic, essential, and classic color cardigans 

to have are navy blue, black, khaki, and grey. These four colors are 

very easy to mix and match with and go along with all season.

Where to find:
Basic cardigans can be found at J.Crew, H&M, Banana Republic, Express, Forever 21, and many other large retail stores. You want to be sure to find a good fit so you can mix and match as much as you can! If you happen to purchase a unique fit, it might be hard to mix and match with other outfits.

Classic Essentials [Femme] - No. 5 The Little Black Dress [LBD]

The Little Black dress is probably the best known classic essential for women.

The LBD is definitely a timeless icon of classy fashion. The best thing about the little black dress

is that there are endless varieties of it, from simple to very detailed, and all styles exemplify classy fashion.

Where to find: 
You can find little black dresses at a variety of stores, from Forever 21 to Barney's. The trick is to find one that you will be able to mix and match with a lot!



Styling Ideas:
* This is a great item to go minimalist with!
Wear it with simple solid color pumps and a minimalist clutch bag.
* Use this piece to draw attention to statement jewelry, shoes, or bag!
Dress minimalist with your statement item as a point to your outfit
* Layer! -- Add a coat, combat jacket, or denim jacket for a more casual look.
Pair it with sneakers, oxfords, or wedges accordingly.

There are many ways to style the Little Black dress! Play around with it -- it's very easy to get creative with a piece like this.

Classic Essentials - No. 4 The Denim Shirt

Just like all of the other classic essentials, the denim shirt is very basic item and can be paired into many outfits. You can just throw it on alone or layer it for different looks. The denim shirt comes in a huge variety of color tones and each tone creates a look of its own.

Where to find: 

It's very easy to find denim shirts at decent prices at Forever 21 and Love Culture. Urban Outfitters carries a great selection of denim shirts as well.

Styling Ideas:

* Denim on Denim!
* Khaki Pants with boats shoes or converse
* Jeans or black pants with a breton stripe shirt underneath, a oversize ivory cardigan and converse, boat shoes, or cute casual flats
* Jeans or black pants with a simple tee under and a blazer over with flats, pumps, or boots


Because it is a classic essential piece, it is very easy to style (just like all the other classic essentials I've classifed). It's great to have year-round and looks very classy!
